Please read this whole page carefully. This covers a lot of what we expect from you the buyer, and what we consider to be your responsibilities. It also covers what we consider to be our responsibilities as the breeder. If you have any questions please ask and we will do our best to answer them.
- First, I reserve the right to terminate any sale, at any time, for any reason.
- If I terminate a sale, you will receive your deposit back, if you terminate a sale, you lose your deposit, depending on the circumstances.
- No kit will be sold before 6 weeks of age. NO EXCEPTIONS! If I do not feel they are doing as well as they should be at 6 wks, I will hold them until they are 8 wks to ensure they can survive the stress of moving to a new home. I will NOT sell any rabbit I feel is not 100% healthy.
- All rabbits come with a small amount of transition food and hay, and their paperwork. *unless otherwise stated*
- Pet quality rabbits will NOT be sold with pedigree. NO EXCEPTIONS! Rabbits sold as pets are neither breeding or show quality & should be purchased for companionship only!
- Our prices are based on the quality *pet, show, brood* of the rabbit. We also put a lot of personal time in to each rabbit, we handle them daily and groom them regularly. So please do not ask me to come down on my prices.
- I do not sell rabbits I would not own myself, so please do NOT contact me and ask why I am selling a particular rabbit, or what is wrong with it that I would want to sell it. I can not keep them all, some must go. This does NOT mean my rabbits that are for sale are defective in any way!
- I do offer discounts to ARBA youth & 4-H members. *must provide proof you are in 4-H & ARBA*, and also on the purchase of 3 or more rabbits. IF YOU ARE A YOUTH, PLEASE HAVE AN ADULT CONTACT ME ABOUT SETTING UP ARRANGEMENTS FOR PURCHASING/PICKING UP THE RABBIT!
- I can NOT guarantee how your rabbit will do at shows or the kind of offspring it will produce. I can promise I will fairly and honestly represent the rabbit at the time of sale. If you change your mind after seeing the rabbit in person, you do not have to buy it.
- No rabbit will be held longer than 7 days without a 50% NON REFUNDABLE deposit, with the exception to kits under the age of 6 weeks. When the kit reaches 6 weeks, you must either pick it up *unless otherwise stated* or send a deposit.
- I will NOT hold a rabbit for you while you "try to decide" if you want the rabbit. First come, first serve.
- If you see the following by a rabbit's name: Pending-this means interest has been shown in the rabbit, but no deposit has been received. On Hold-this means deposit received, arrangements for pick up have been made. Sold-this means the rabbit has been picked up.
- Cash or money order ONLY! NO CHECKS! NO EXCEPTIONS!
- Deposit will be refunded to you if your rabbit becomes sick, injured, or dies before the time of purchase.
- You have 2 weeks to pick up your rabbit, unless a different time frame has been agreed to by me.
- If you do not pick up your rabbit in 2 weeks, and different arrangements haven't been made prior to that day, it is $4/day extra for the care/feeding of your rabbit.
- If you do not show up to pick up your rabbit on the agreed upon day, and do not contact me within 24 hrs, the rabbit is put back up for sale and you will lose your deposit.
- If I agree to meet you, and you do not show up and do not notify me you can not make it, the rabbit is put back up for sale and you lose your deposit. And I will not agree to meet you again. If you choose to repurchase the rabbit *at full cost* or purchase any other rabbits, you must make arrangements to pick the rabbit up at the rabbitry.
- I do not usually agree to meet anyone farther away than 20 miles *Crossville or Jamestown* unless I am already making a trip to your area. If you want me to come to you, and I am making a special trip, you will be responsible for paying my gas, whether I am driving all the way to your place, or you are meeting me half way. Prices for this start at $20 if I travel past Crossville or Jamestown.
- All rabbits come with a 2 week health guarantee, in which we will give you a full refund if your rabbit becomes sick or dies. MUST BRING DECEASED RABBIT AS PROOF. ALSO MUST RETURN SICK RABBIT TO US.
- We will also give you a full refund if you change your mind about the rabbit within 2 weeks from the date of purchase, or you can trade it for another rabbit of equal value. We will accept the rabbit back past the 2 week date, but no refund/trade will be offered.
- I do allow people to come to my rabbitry to see the rabbits we have to offer. But this is by appointment ONLY! If we have set up a time and you do not show up, this does not mean you can come by whenever you feel like it later on. You will have to contact me and reschedule.
- I am willing to work with anyone on pretty much any situation. I understand that things happen and plans must change. But show some respect because my time is valuable, also.
- I know a lot of this sounds harsh, but I have driven 2 hrs. to meet someone, and they didn't show up, didn't answer my calls, or return them until much later and they had "forgotten" they were meeting me. And I've had several people contact me wanting a certain rabbit, promising to make arrangements for pick up, but they never do, so 3 weeks later I am still holding a rabbit, no deposit, and they are still making excuses/promises. So again, please show some respect, because while you consider your time valuable, I feel the same about mine.
